Boot light
« on: December 18, 2017, 11:04:14 am »
Hi all,

My boot light only works intermittently. Sometimes it comes on, sometimes not.

Is it supposed to come on when the boot is open even if the headlights are off? I have tried it with the interior lights on and off and it only sometimes comes on.

Obviously the bulb is okay, but does anybody know where the activation switch is? I am assuming it is activated by the boot lid arms>

Maybe you can try to turn it on and off with the switch button, just in case that is dirty and/or set half way through and sometimes it works and sometimes it does not.

Do you know where the switch is located?

On the 2010 Hatchback 6 the boot light switch is on the right hand side of the boot near the top .Simple on/off type.
Don't know if this will help on later model cars. But is there nothing in the handbook.?
