What headlights do I have
« on: September 20, 2019, 09:53:12 pm »
Hi! Picked up my mazda 6 today (love it) ex demo 18 plate sport nav 2.2d.
I was hoping someone could figure out what headlight system is on the car....
There's no manual level adjuster on the dash so I'm guessing they're auto levelled.
Does that mean I have LED headlights / the ones that turn when you corner? Or just auto levelled halogen.

Sorry I know this question is probably dumb

Here is a pic of the headlight unit if that helps

I am not sure you can figure out from the outside what is going there as it must be all about electronics controlling the unit.

You could either call the dealer, or check the owner's manual, or enter your car details to some search machnines to find out what lights is has.

I would assume that if you have any blue warning light on the dash, you should turn off the high beam when you come across traffic. Otherwise the computer could do the thing.

Finally managed to have a good play around with the car (long story) and yes they are the adaptive led headlights with highbeam assist  8)

The settings app in the car dash confirmed it, and also when I drove it last night ..... they are amazing! Totally different to anything I've been used to.
