Global closure feature
« on: June 15, 2015, 10:06:28 pm »
This was a standard feature on the 2010-13 M6 model. Is it still available on the 2013/14&15 model Mazda 6 car?

I have the new shape Sport and this feature has disappeared. It does have walk away locks which work as you move from the car. This feature can be switched off from the set up option on the centre console, but I normally leave it on. I will try it with one of the windows open later to see if it closes the window as well as locks the doors.

Update - I have just tried and if you leave a window open and the walk away locks are set to on, the doors lock but the window doesn't close.
I had the previous model for 4 years and have had this one for 10 months, so if you need any comparisons please do not hesitate to ask.
Personally, I think the new model has lost some of the sporty character of the old shape but is overall a more refined car.

Thanks for the update. The new car is more refined than the old one but the global closer feature is missing which is a shame.

The feature has been removed from the 3rd generation of the Mazda 6
