Shuddering Brakes Return
« on: June 15, 2016, 01:00:47 pm »
I have a 2010 Sport Auto which I have had since new. In the early days the brakes began to shudder, especially when coming off a motorway at speed. I had this resolved under warranty with the discs being skimmed. I am now 6 years down the line with the same car (42,000) miles and have just had the pads and discs changed because the shuddering had returned. I know there are quite a lot of posts on this subject, so clearly there is an issue with the brakes. The discs and pads that have been fitted, by an independent garage, are not Mazda items, so it will be interesting to see if the shuddering returns. I will keep you posted if it does.

I think the issue is down to the quality of materials used in the parts.
Had same issue with mine, heavy juddering when braking coming off motorway slip road.
Had them changed, garage offerred two prices dependant on quality of parts.

I think you are right about the quality of parts metalmickey. My brakes were replaced nearly two weeks ago and I can't believe the difference. I don't think they have ever been as good. Well worth the investment.
